Digital Literacy for Families:
Empowering the Next Generation
Protecting Kids in a Connected World Starts Now.
The internet is where kids learn, play, connect...and where risks can hide in plain sight. At Opt-Inspire, we believe digital literacy starts young and sticks best when families learn together. That’s why we’ve expanded our programming to serve 5th and 6th graders and their parents or guardians, equipping them with the tools to stay safe, think critically, and build lifelong habits of smart online behavior.
Outside of our workshops, we also offer two free resources:
- The Mini Toolkit (for ages 2–4): A practical, bite-sized guide for parents of young kids just starting to engage with screens. Created with direct input from occupational therapists who specialize in early learning.
- Make It Click (for ages 5–15): A mobile-friendly guide for parents and caregivers to help older kids build safe screen habits, protect their privacy, and navigate online risks with confidence, curated by classroom educators, as well as tech and privacy professionals.
Whether it’s understanding what information is okay to share, spotting a scam in their game chat, or learning what “private” settings really mean, we’re here to help families thrive in today’s digital world.
