In 2025, Opt-Inspire, Inc. is proud to offer two $1,000 scholarships supporting undergraduate and graduate students building a safer digital world for all generations.
- Senior Impact Scholarship: for students championing privacy, security, and digital literacy for seniors
- Kids Tech Empowerment Scholarship: for students improving digital access, privacy, or safety for children.
Applicants may apply to one or both. Applications open August 15, 2025 and close September 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Awards will be distributed in November 2025 for use during the spring 2026 semester. Click here to apply!

Two Scholarship Tracks
- Senior Impact Scholarship: Awarded to a student working to protect, educate, or empower older adults in the digital age through initiatives in privacy, cybersecurity, scam prevention, digital literacy, or tech accessibility for seniors.
- Kids Tech Empowerment Scholarship: Awarded to a student advancing safe technology experiences for children in areas such as online privacy, child well-being, or other STEM/AI/tech spaces.
Award Details
- Scholarships are $1,000 each.
- Recipients will be announced by November 5, 2025.
- Funds will be disbursed directly to each winner’s accredited educational institution for Spring 2026.
Eligibility + Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled (or accepted for enrollment) in a U.S.-based accredited college, university, trade school, or other educational program
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to the mission of the scholarship they’re applying for
- Submit all required materials by the September 30, 2025 deadline
Applicants may apply for one or both scholarships, but must submit a unique personal statement for each.
Required for all applicants:
- Completed online application form
- Resume or list of extracurriculars/volunteer work
- Unofficial transcript
- Proof of enrollment or admission

The Fine Print
Opt-Inspire, Inc. Scholarship Policy
Purpose.
The Opt-Inspire Scholarship Program supports students committed to advancing privacy, cybersecurity, digital accessibility, or senior tech empowerment.
Eligibility.
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. college, graduate school, or vocational program.
- Demonstrate interest in one or more of the nonprofit’s mission areas.
- Submit a complete application by the deadline.
Selection Criteria.
- Demonstrated commitment to Opt-Inspire’s mission.
- Academic performance.
- Strength of personal statement.
Award Amount and Disbursement.
- Scholarships are $1,000 each.
- Funds are disbursed directly to the recipient’s institution or educational program.
Administration.
- Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee of volunteers and board members.
- Scholarship funds will not be awarded to employees or immediate family of Opt-Inspire board members.
Post-Award Expectations.
- Recipients agree to provide a short follow-up reflection and, with consent, may be featured in Opt-Inspire’s outreach.
- While not required, scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to support Opt-Inspire’s mission through volunteerism, outreach, or peer engagement during or after the award term.
